Deleting your ObservV account

Deleting your account permanently deletes your login and personal access to ObservV. This action cannot be undone.

Where to delete your account

You can delete your account from Profile - Settings - Delete account while logged in.
You will be asked to confirm your password before the deletion is completed.

What happens when you delete your account

When you delete your account:

• You are removed from:  
  • All organizations  
  • All projects  
  • All guest and collaborator roles
• Your login access to ObservV is permanently deleted  
• Your personal account information is deleted

What is not deleted

• Photos you uploaded are not deleted  
• Comments you added are not deleted

Any photos and comments you contributed remain with the organization or organizations they were added to. Ownership stays with those organizations, not with your personal account.

Rejoining ObservV later

You can create a new account at any time using the same or a different email address.
You can also rejoin organizations again if you are invited.

Deleting an organization

Deleting an organization permanently deletes the organization and its data from ObservV. This action cannot be undone.

Only the Account Owner can delete an organization.

How to delete an organization

You can delete an organization from Manage – Organization profile – Delete organization while logged in as the Account Owner.
You will be asked to confirm your password before the deletion is completed.

Before deleting an organization

Before you can delete an organization, ObservV will prompt you to consider alternative actions, including:

• Reducing monthly subscription costs  
• Cancelling data services while keeping a free organization account  
• Transferring organization ownership to another user

These options allow you to retain access or reduce costs without deleting the organization.

Requirements to delete an organization immediately

To delete an organization immediately, all of the following must be true:

• All projects are archived  
• All properties are deleted  
• All property trash is empty  
• All data services are cancelled

If any of these conditions are not met, the organization cannot be deleted.

Automatic deletion after cancelling data services

If you cancel your organization’s subscription to data services:

• All properties, projects, and property trash will be automatically deleted 14 days after the subscription ends
• No manual deletion is required

This option allows you to avoid manually deleting content while still ensuring full removal.

What happens when an organization is deleted

When an organization is deleted:

• All properties are permanently deleted  
• All projects are permanently deleted  
• All photos stored within the organization are permanently deleted  
• All organization data is permanently deleted  
• This action cannot be undone
